Privacy policy
How we handleyour information.
Plain language, no hedging. What we collect, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
01Who we are
FemmeRevive Wellness and Beauty operates a wellness, beauty and aesthetics studio at 98 Gemsbok Street, Extension 1, Lenasia, Johannesburg, and the website at femmerevive.co. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean that business.
We are the responsible party for the personal information described here, as that term is used in the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
02What we collect
We only collect what we need to answer you and to treat you safely.
- Contact details you give us: your name, phone number and email address.
- Enquiry details: the treatment you asked about, your answers in the booking form, and anything you write in the message.
- Health information relevant to treatment: skin type, allergies, medication, pregnancy, prior reactions and medical conditions that affect whether a treatment is safe for you.
- Appointment and treatment history: what you booked, what was done, the settings used, and any aftercare notes.
- Payment records: amounts and dates. We do not store card numbers.
- Basic technical information from the website, such as the pages requested and general device type.
The website itself does not run advertising trackers, third-party analytics or social media pixels, and it sets no cookies of its own.
03Health information
Health information is special personal information under POPIA and we treat it accordingly. We collect it only where it is necessary to decide whether a treatment is safe and appropriate for you, and to carry it out properly.
Consultation and consent records are kept for each client. They are used by the practitioner treating you, and are not shared with anyone else without your explicit consent, unless the law requires it.
04How we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange your appointment.
- To assess whether a treatment is suitable and safe for you.
- To keep accurate treatment records so follow-up sessions are correct.
- To send appointment reminders and aftercare instructions.
- To keep the financial records the law requires us to keep.
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
05Messages you send us
The booking form on this website does not submit anything to a server of ours. It assembles a message in your browser and then hands it to WhatsApp or to your email application, where you choose whether to send it. Nothing leaves your device until you do.
If you contact us on WhatsApp, that conversation also sits on WhatsApp servers under their own terms and privacy policy, which we do not control. If you would rather not use WhatsApp, email or a phone call reaches us just as well.
06Where it is kept and for how long
Client records are kept securely and access is limited to the people who need them to do their work.
We keep treatment and consultation records for as long as is reasonable for clinical follow-up and for the periods required by South African law, and financial records for the periods required by tax legislation. Enquiries that do not become bookings are deleted once they are clearly no longer relevant.
07Your rights
Under POPIA you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you and request a copy of it.
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong or incomplete.
- Ask us to delete information we no longer have grounds to keep.
- Object to how we are using your information.
- Withdraw consent you have given, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.
- Complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa.
To exercise any of these, email info@femmerevive.co and we will respond as quickly as we reasonably can. We may need to confirm your identity first, so that we are not handing your records to somebody else.
08Security
We take reasonable and appropriate technical and organisational steps to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access and misuse. The website is served over an encrypted connection.
No system is perfectly secure. If a breach ever affects your personal information, we will notify you and the Information Regulator as POPIA requires.
09Children
We do not knowingly collect information about anyone under 18 without the consent of a parent or guardian. Treatments for minors are only carried out with a parent or guardian present and consenting.
10Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the business or the law changes. The current version is always the one published here, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed. This version is dated 7 September 2026.
Questions about this policy? Email info@femmerevive.co or call the studio and we will talk it through.
